Wangari Maathai (1940 - 2011) Renowned Kenyan social, environmental and political activist and the first African woman to win the Nobel Prize. She founded The Green Belt Movement in 1977

Elie Wiesel (1928 - 2016) - was a Romanian-born American writer, professor, political activist, Nobel Laureate, and Holocaust survivor. He authored many books including "Night" and became an activist, orator and teacher, speaking out against persecution and injustice across the world.
